What is Voqu and how does it work?
Voqu connects you with real people who speak the language you want to learn — and who want to learn yours. You match, then chat by text or voice and practice by actually talking, not by tapping flashcards. Think of it as a friend on the other side of the world who’s always up for a conversation.
What is language exchange?
It’s a simple, fair trade: you help someone learn your language, and they help you learn theirs. So a Spanish speaker learning English pairs up with an English speaker learning Spanish — everyone teaches a little and learns a lot. No tutors, no fees, just two people swapping languages.
Where can I download the app?
Very soon! Voqu is launching on the App Store and Google Play. Pop your email into the beta and we’ll send your invite the moment it’s ready — you’ll be first in line.
Can I learn any language?
Pretty much. Voqu launches with 40+ languages — from the big ones like Spanish, French, and Japanese to plenty more. As long as there’s someone out there who speaks it and wants to practice yours, you’re good to go.
How can I join?
Tap “Join the beta”, drop in your email, and you’re on the list. We’ll email you an invite as spots open up — then you make a quick profile, pick what you’re learning, and start matching. That’s it.
How can I report someone?
If anyone ever makes you uncomfortable, you can mute, block, or report them in one tap, right from the chat. Reports go straight to our team, conversations are moderated around the clock, and you’re always in control of who you talk to.
